About Me

Welcome! My name is Allie Statile and I am currently a sophomore at Saint Michaels majoring in Psychology with a focus in Neuroscience and minoring in Elementary Education. I am also currently a peer writing tutor. After I graduate in a couple of years, I hope to continuing schooling and eventually get my PhD to become a Neuroscience Rehab Psychologist helping Veterans and others recover from TBI's (Traumatic Brain Injuries).

I grew up playing basketball, softball, soccer, and volleyball year round and continue to be as active as I can while playing on the varsity volleyball team here today. I love being outdoors (hiking and skiing are my favorites), and I also love being around animals. I have a cat and dog at home that I love so much.

When I first started college here at Saint Mikes, I thought that I wanted to be an elementary teacher. I had lots of experience coaching and watching over kids of all ages while I was in high school, and I knew that my future was going to revolve around them some how. However, after taking a few psychology and neuroscience courses, my interest in that field rapidly grew and surpassed my interest in teaching. Although my probably career choice has since changed, I still want to be involved with kids in the future in some way, whether it be through substitute teaching or coaching on the side.

I am excited to get more experience with older kids through this course.
